PROGRAM MANAGER, -, to support the team which has been recently funded via a five-year Cancer Research UK/National Cancer Institute Grand Challenge grant to predict and design T cell recognition to better treat cancer. Will coordinate research collaborations between member laboratories, manage outreach and communication, and work to extend the MATCHMAKERS efforts via additional collaborations and follow-on funding. Responsibilities include helping define and shepherd the team's vision; assisting the lead principal investigator with monitoring and ensuring team compliance with CRUK and NCI award lead requirements; representing the center to internal/external constituencies; ensuring the timely publication of findings, availability of high-quality data, and proper IP management; assisting with reporting; preparing/revising outreach documents; creating and maintaining website and/or social media; monitoring finances; and providing other administrative support as needed.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: bachelor's degree in life science/chemistry/biophysics/bioengineering/related discipline; four years' administration, operations, project/program management, or related experience; strong research history, preferably in cancer biology, immunology, bioengineering, or structural biology; scientific writing/editing and project management experience; experience facilitating collaborations; detail orientation; excellent organizational, planning, analytical, relationship-building, interpersonal, and written and oral communication skills; proficiency with Mac OS, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat/Illustrator; experience with webpage construction and management; initiative; and interest in science, building and implementing new initiatives, and promoting the development of research and researchers in cancer immunology and protein prediction/design. Must be able to prioritize and multitask; coordinate and oversee program activities, day-to-day operations, and multi-investigator research programs; and work independently, as part of a team, and with a range of constituents.
