Community Healthlink (CHL) is looking for a fulltime (37.5 hrs/wk) Nurse Manager MYR, Passages, TSSin Worcester, MA.

PASSages is an intensive, short-term (2-4 week), inpatient treatment program for men and women 18 and older who suffer from substance use disorders but do not require detox. The program provides individual counseling sessions and comprehensive case management services to each client along with at least seven treatment groups per day, run by all team members. PASSages is an exciting, dynamic environment in which all members of the multidisciplinary team work together to ensure the best outcomes for our clients.

The Nurse Manager will ensure all nursing practices are consistent with all regulatory, licensing, and contractual requirements and with Community Healthlink's True North.

Provides leadership and supervision to nursing personnel to ensure ANA professional nursing standards of practice and code of ethics are adhered to in all clinical care areas under this role.

  • Provides and documents individual supervision and monthly nursing meeting with nursing team members.
  • Attends and supports nurse attendance at all staff meetings
  • Ensures staff attend all required CHL trainings and follows CHL policies and procedures
  • Responsible for hiring of nursing staff and ensuring they are effectively oriented to their care areas.
  • Assists in providing and supporting staff education, both individually and as a group as needed.
  • Develops new policies and procedures and update as needed
  • Facilitates the training of the nursing team and other staff as needed, in client group education sessions and proper documentation of the activity.
  • Maintains knowledge and understanding of
  • Utilizes the Idea System and Lean philosophy towards process improvement, and quality client care.
  • Functions as a member of management team, attending management meetings as required
  • An active participant of CSDPP Committee, Nurse Leadership Meetings, and Program Management meetings.
  • Works weekend day and holidays as needed
  • Responds to emergencies and is an active participant in the response when able.
  • Develops strong collaborative relationships with members of management team, staff, peers, physicians and within the community.
  • Represents Community Healthlink in a professional manner
  • Responsible for management and development of nursing schedules for all care areas supported by this role
  • Assists in the review and required updates to medical policies and procedures of the clients care areas supported by this role.
  • Assists in the completion and review of all incident reports and required notifications to external licensing agencies as needed.
  • Completes annual performance appraisals for all nursing team members supervised.
  • Respects diverse views and approaches demonstrates Standards of Respect and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients, and visitors.
  • RN with current MA nursing license (Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • Current CPR certification
  • 2-5 years nursing experience
  • 3-4 years working in the field of Mental Health and or Addictions
  • 1-3 years supervisory experience
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Ability to work with diverse staff and client population.
  • Maintains highest standards of nursing practice, ethics, and professionalism.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records
  • Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
