The Victim Services Program is based in both Worcester and Leominster. The Victim Services Program is comprised of specialty areas that allow for a flexible response to victims of violent crimes and the needs of the communities we serve. Our approach is multi-modal focusing on a variety of victim populations; children and adults exposed to domestic violence, after homicide families and loved ones, sexual abuse/rape, LGBTQI victimization and post disaster victims. All services, including individual, couple, family, group therapy crisis intervention, safety planning, support groups, community outreach events, advocacy, and coordinated care with other community agencies, are free of financial obligation for qualified clients. Transportation to treatment and childcare in Worcester are provided free of cost to Victim Services program clients. Services are available in English and Spanish in both locations.
Responsibilities:
Provides outpatient diagnostic evaluations and psychotherapeutic treatment services to children, adolescents and adults in individual, family, couple, and group therapy
Provides consultation and educational services to community groups and agencies in culturally, ethnically and linguistically appropriate manner.
Direct clinical psychotherapy services including the use of evidenced based practices, i.e. TF-CBT
Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and ARC: The Attachment Self-Regulation Competency Framework to children, adolescents and adult as represented in the caseload through diagnostic evaluations and screenings, crisis/emergency assessment and intervention, treatment planning and assessment, individual, group, couple and family therapy
Participates in interdisciplinary diagnostic treatment and planning conferences.
Consults with area schools, doctors, individuals, and other social service agencies, insurance providers and hospital networks regarding clients, client services and case management.
Maintains client records and administrative records according to Center policy
Maintains unit productivity standard according to collective bargaining agreement.
Attends administrative staff meetings as required
Attends in-service education, clinical supervision and professional meetings as required.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.
Qualifications:
Grade C12: Clinician III: Master's degree in a clinical course of study in behavioral health (social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, counseling or related field) that meet the academic requirements for independent licensure in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or mental health counseling in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Requires licensure as LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or is actively working towards licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Grade C16: Clinician IV: LICSW in the State of Massachusetts. Experience in the area of practice necessary.
Minimum of two years in a clinical setting working with children, adolescents, and families with behavioral, social, and emotional difficulties.
Must be able to work on Weekend and Evening shifts.
Minimum of two years working with children, adolescents, and families who have experienced and/or have been exposed to domestic violence, abuse, and/or violence.
Must have a working knowledge of domestic violence, emotional abuse, physical abuse, and sexual abuse.
Proven ability to effectively engage clients, successfully advocate for clients and to work well with other professionals.
Proven ability to perform assessments.
Demonstrated strong work ethic, ability to work independently, and ability to contribute to team objectives required.
Demonstrated strong communication skills.
Ability to use a computer-based information system.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly urged to apply
Current valid US-issued drivers license
