We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Medical Technologist in Billerica, MA.

What You'll Do:

  • Responsible for specimen processing and running Simoa assays, analysis and interpretation of data, and writing in-depth reports.
  • Perform testing of samples under CLIA for clinical testing services as needed
  • Assist in the training and supervision staff
  • Review assay results according to laboratory protocols, taking appropriate action and escalating when necessary
  • Characterize and troubleshoot novel biomarker assays
  • Perform analytical and clinical validation of new tests, working with the technical supervisor and laboratory director to design experiments, analyze the results, write reports
  • Work with the laboratory leadership team to maintain processes for monitoring the quality of assay kits; document testing, analyze results, review data and maintain historical records to track performance over time
  • Interact with clients as needed to review results and address technical questions
  • Follow SOPs and document results

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS./M.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medical Technology Science or Life Sciences related field
  • ASCP or MT Certification required
  • 5-8 years of experience in a clinical laboratory, executing a variety of methods such as immunoassays (ELISA), Western blots and automated platforms

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with ELISA development and optimization, assay protocol optimization and assay validation preferred
  • Familiarity with LIMS data capture and use of data analysis tools (Excel, Tableau, etc) a plus
  • Self-motivated with critical eye for detail
