In theGeneral Manager/Vice Presidentof Advanced Endoscopic Technologies (AET) role, you will report directly to the President of General Surgery and will lead the AET business as the executive in charge. You will be expected to collaborate closely with business direct reports (Sales, R&D, Marketing, and Finance) and functional partners (HR, Operations, RAQA, Compliance, and Legal) in developing and executing an appropriate strategy for the business.

* Assume full P&L responsibility for the U.S. AET market

* Assess and adapt the current organization structure, talent, and competencies to support the growth of the business

* Establish CONMED's AET vision and drive the business vision to enable profitable growth

* Formulate the business strategies and plans to strengthen the market presence and build the business

* Build and develop a talented, high-performing, and engaged team and establish a clear succession plan for all the key roles

* Develop a winning culture that reflects high performance, diversity, trust, and teamwork

* Continuously strengthen the product portfolio by bringing in the right products that suit the market demand and customers' specific needs

* Strengthen the brand presence and improve brand awareness via effective marketing communication programs and endorsement by industry professionals or key opinion leaders

* Excel at stakeholder management (at all levels), working with commercial teams, major hospital groups, and surgeons

* Strategically build the business while maintaining profitable growth

* Establish clear measurable KPIs for all the top team members

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree

* 15+ years of relevant experience in roles of increasing responsibility within the medical device industry, with 10+ being at the senior management level

* Demonstrated track record of success in sales, marketing, and/or general management across organizations

* Ability to meet with customers at hospitals and to be a member of a credentialing agency

* Ability to travel 50-75%

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA
  • Located in EST or CST time zone
  • Strong understanding of the U.S. market, including regulatory, legal policies and environment to mitigate risk to the business.

Disclosure as required by applicable law, the annual salary range for this position is $280,000-$350,000 with the potential for bonus opportunities. The actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level. The salary range is CONMED's good faith belief at the time of this posting.
