Overview

The Director of IT - Finance Systems is responsible for providing technology leadership, strategy, and operational support for financial systems utilized across the organization. This position serves as a key business relationship manager partnering closely with finance leaders and stakeholders. The role will be responsible for being the key contact and representative for IT, working with key leaders and business process owners to develop solutions that are aligned with the overall corporate or business area goals and results in measurable improvements in the business.

Key Responsibilities:

* Partner with all levels of the finance leadership team-including Accounting, FP&A, Procurement, and the CFO to align on strategy and technology initiatives.

* Provide the strategic vision and business-aligned, technical roadmaps for financial systems including SAP, Adaptive, Ariba, and related technologies.

* Act as a single-point-of-contact for business systems within the Finance organization. Oversee the implementations, upgrades, integrations, and enhancements of core financial platforms and modules, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, controlling, treasury, expense reporting etc. Ensure outcomes align with expectations.

* Oversee the daily operations, issue resolution, system maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives related to financial IT applications.

* Drive adoption, training, change management when launching new finance technologies and processes.

* Follow good implementation practices to ensure clear understanding of business benefits and proper documentation of the systems (SDLC) is developed and maintained.

* Partner with key support services (e.g. training, IT infrastructure, IT security, etc.) to ensure a one team approach is followed.

* Recruit, develop, and lead team resources (external contractors / consultants and internal peers) such as financial systems analysts and project managers.

* Stay current on finance technology innovations and trends while identifying new opportunities for efficiency and productivity gains

* Maintain vendor relationships including negotiation of license agreements and fees.

Skills and Qualifications:

* 7+ years overseeing large scale financial systems and IT teams supporting Finance groups

* Deep knowledge of SAP, Adaptive, Ariba or similar leading finance platforms

* Strong leadership abilities and technical project management skills

* Strategic thinker focused on business alignment and technology innovation

* Process first focus

* Lean certification (preferred)

* Consultative background (preferred)
