Position: Software Engineer - NPM NetProfiler & Flow Gateway

Location Preference: Home Office, MA; Home Office, MD; Home Office, NC; Home Office, TX, Home Office, VA

The Riverbed NetProfiler and Flow Gateway product family analyze millions of network flows every minute, saving the data in a highly optimized proprietary database and performing real-time analysis. Real-time analytics detect network operations and security anomalies to alert network administrators before customers are calling for help. With highly configurable dashboards and flexible traffic reporting capabilities, NetProfiler is a go-to network visibility tool for network managers at Fortune 500 companies around the world.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, high energy Software Engineer to join the team and help us build the next generation of NetProfiler and Flow Gateway products.

What you will do
    Develop high-quality, scalable C++ software for efficient management and processing of large-scale data
  • Design and build our future scalable and robust big-data systems in the cloud
  • Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosis of customer issues as needed
What makes you an ideal candidate
  • 7+ years of experience in a software engineering role
  • Proven expertise building data-centric applications with C++ software development
  • Knowledge of python development a plus
  • Experience with a modern analytics database, preferably Clickhouse
  • Familiar with performance optimization techniques and tools
  • Ability to analyze core dumps and use them to diagnose root cause of failures
  • Comfort with developing software running on Linux in Docker/Podman containers
  • Working knowledge of issue tracking & source code management tools such as Atlassian JIRA and git
  • Desired
  • Experience working with software in a cloud environment, any of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
