Job Description:

Collect, aggregate, and analyze data at scale using continuous, incremental development methodologies. Work with the DevOps team to improve and optimize our CI/CD processes and product architecture to improve developer and customer experiences. Support large volumes of data via cloud data warehouses. Bring actionable security insights to the customer through integrating new data sources. Surface new features from existing data and scale our SaaS product. Refine the rating algorithm. Collaborate with data science and research teams to build trust with BitSight customers in the quality and integrity of our data. Maintain, build, and optimize our REST APIs with a particular focus on making existing APIs scale to handle larger amounts of data. Design, and implement software solutions based on the specifications; investigating problem areas; data usage; and following software development best practices. Determine root cause for the most complex software issues and develop practical, efficient, and permanent technical solutions. Support and develop junior engineers by providing coaching and training. Work in close partnership with cross-functional teams and management. Assist in task planning and estimation. Remain current on new technologies and packages; evaluate and make recommendations as necessary. Position is fixed location based in Boston office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be permitted.

Job Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a directly related field plus three (3) years in a related occupation as a Software

Engineer developing in Java or Python. Experience must include:

One (1) year of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • Building and operating large-scale data pipelines

  • CI/CD and Kubernetes

  • Experience working with a team of engineers, designers, and product owners in delivering a product to end-users

  • Strong computer science fundamentals in design, data structures, and algorithms

  • Ability to produce high-quality code that is maintainable, reliable, efficient and secure.

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm. Salary range: $155,000 to $160,000/year
