(ICG) is currently recruiting for an Intermediate Database Administrator (DBA),to join our team inLaVergne, TN(Greater Nashville area). This Database Administrator (DBA)is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining RDBMS structures to support business needs and application development, utilizing strong communications and prioritization skills.

Minimum qualifications:

  • 4+ years' work experience with Relational Database Management Systems with a combination of the following preferred platforms,MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or demonstrated equivalent work experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL
  • Experience with Oracle RAC
  • Experience working in a Unix/Linux environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements, and maintains RDBMS data structures in test, quality assurance and production environments utilizing current standards and procedures, inclusive of on premise and cloud environments.
  • Provides performance-related support and system related support for RDBMS data structures in test, quality assurance, and production environments utilizing current toolsets.
  • Ensures database connectivity requirements are met and be able to troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Responsible for capacity planning and installation of database software including upgrade and patch management.
  • Communicates regularly with technical, applications, and operational staff to ensure the database integrity and security.
  • Controls access permissions and privileges. Assists users in the use of database related tools and in coding of efficient data access.
  • Provides project leadership ability for short- and long-term projects.
  • Provides 24-hour on-call support on a rotation basis.
  • Deals with and prioritizes several tasks simultaneously.
  • Utilizes logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Writes database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions for the data dictionary
