Marketing Communications Manager (Andover, MA or Memphis, TN)

Reporting to the Sr. Director Marketing Communications, this role isresponsible for advising on the positioning, messaging and channel strategies for areas of the Global Marketing franchises and its corresponding products, with a focus on Tradeshows. Hands-on global position responsible for managing all project requests through the GlobalMarCom process and acts as a strategic partner to Global Marketing.

This includes supporting with value propositions, positioning, and messaging, collateral creation,approval, channel strategies, dissemination, and tradeshows. Works globally, liaising with partners across Smith+Nephew to ensure understanding of key market and customer factors and aligns communications approach and asset toolbox accordingly. Assets can include tradeshow graphics, digital and print brochures, advertising, video, animations, digital assets and social media, among others.Collateralcreation includes copywriting of headlines and body copyas well as storyboards.

What will you be doing?

  • Act as the cross-franchise tradeshow Marketing Communications Manager, collaborating with Global Marketing, the Tradeshow team and other cross-functional partners to build an integrated and holistic approach to tradeshow communication

  • Support defined area of the business as Marketing Communications Account Manager

  • Alignproject priorities in line withbusiness and franchisefocus, needs and deadlines

  • Act as the liaison between the creativedepartment, related departments and the client with regards toproviding production schedules, critical milestones and general updates

  • Act as brand manager, ensuring S+N appropriate branding approach

  • Ensurethat all projects are delivered on time and on budget

  • Continuouslyinterface with the MRMsystemto ensure projects follow the proper workflow and approval processes

  • Ensure timely release of all artwork with appropriate documentation to outside sources

  • Ensure full approval of all collateral

  • Keep creative and production staff apprised of project priorities and due dates

  • Expedite "rush" projects while maintaining orderly flow of daily work

  • Keep others informed of conflicts and delays

  • Acquire deadline extensions when necessary

  • Ensure accuracy and maintenance of literature inventory including online literature ordering system

  • Support distribution of collateral to relevant sources (integrated approach)

  • Participate/guideStrategy, Positioning and Messaging planning and execution with marketing teams as needed

  • Build global reach oftheproduced promotional assets where appropriate

  • Facilitate briefings, reviews with internal staff and partners

  • Recommend and implement process improvements

What will you need to be successful?

  • Education: Bachelors degree in business, marketing, communication, PR, or closely related field

  • Experience: 5+ years in marketing communications, communications, PR, marketing or closely related field

  • Experience in a global organization or global exposure/experience preferred

  • Medical device Marketing Communications, Agency and/or Tradeshow background a plus

  • Travel Requirements: 10%
