Role Overview

We are seeking a full-time RN or LPN to assist in the virtual care of patients by providing remote support to the advance practice provider in charge of prescription refills and Epic in-basket monitoring.

This is a mainly remote opportunity; however, employees are required to be onsite at the location of 370 Merrimack St, Lawrence, MA for Orientation/training for the first few days of employment, in addition to attending on-site meetings a few times per month at the office location of 1 Parkway in Haverhill, MA. The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Patient Gateway messages for all primary care providers/advance practice providers.
  • Respond to patient requests made through the Patient Gateway, triage patient concerns and direct patients to the appropriate medical care.
  • Schedule visits with the primary care providers/advance practice providers, as appropriate.
  • Support the staff nurses in preparing refills for the virtual advance practice provider or on-site primary care provider, as appropriate.
  • Handle "Red" calls as they come into the practice and triage as appropriate.
  • Handle "Critical Results" as they come into the practice and triage/report as appropriate.
  • Document result notes in Epic.
  • Place orders for referrals and/or pend orders for providers to sign, as appropriate.
  • Assist in both pediatric and internal medicine primary care practices.
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Current Massachusetts licensure as an LPN or RN required.
  • 3-5 years' experience in an urgent care center, ER or Medical Office required.
  • Computer experience required.
  • Pediatric experience is strongly preferred.
  • Internal Medicine experience preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred.
  • Epic experience is preferred.
