The medical assistant is responsible for providing the necessary services to support the physicians and to keep the facility running smoothly. Reporting to the Administrative/Practice Manager, the medical assistant will be an integral member of the clinical team, working together to provide superior care and service a panel of cardiology patients. The medical assistant will be expected to have a global view of the day and support the patient, provider, and other members of the Cardiology team to provide patients with comprehensive/effective visits and complete the tasks of the day as efficiently as possible.
General Responsibilities
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
* Electrocardiography, Blood Pressure
* Demonstrated competency with medical terminology
* Familiarity with the management of patient care planning
* Excellent interpersonal communication and skills whether in person, via the telephone and/or in writing

MA II: Minimum of 1-2 years Medical Assistant experience required in a comparable setting
