This position is responsible for supporting the financial management of our Tax Line of Business. They will assist the Finance leaders in overseeing the financial statement, general ledger, financial analysis, and ad hoc management reports for the tax service line. Work with the Finance leaders and the service lines to develop FTE, revenue, margin and operating expense forecasts that align with the firm's financial foundations. Work with those service lines throughout the year to ensure that the actual costs are aligned with the forecasts and the benchmarks.

Essential Duties

Accounting Operations duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Oversees the accounting function for the service lines that they support. This may include but is not limited to the monthly close process, journal entry review and monthly reconciliation activities, as well as reviewing and approving accounts payable entries and/or commissions. All to be completed in a timely manner and in accordance with GAAP and Firm policies and processes

Reporting & Analysis duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Providing financial analysis for the FCS Finance Leader and the functional leaders and their teams. Analytics will focus on FTE's as well as the operating expense GL's that each functional area is responsible for.
  • Prepares and/or coordinates ad hoc reports, specialized projects and analysis as requested by leadership.
  • Develops and provides management reports for the areas that they support.
  • Works with the financial analysts to provide detailed analytics.

Leadership duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Provides guidance and coaching to the financial analysts.
  • May advise service line or finance leaders on initiatives to affect profitability, cost savings and other financial management strategies.
  • Assists the finance leaders with data for meetings with the FCS leaders and other key stakeholders to assist them in effectively managing the financial aspects of the business.

Forecasting & Analysis duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Assists the finance leaders and the service line leaders to develop FTE and operating expense forecasts that meet established firmwide goals.
  • Provides analysis of monthly financial results to leadership including the interpretation of current month and year-to-date performance as a predictive tool for attainment of full year performance expectations and plans to implement course corrections as necessary.
  • Reviews capital purchase budgets and monitors monthly purchases against plan.

Employee supervisory duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Provides effective leadership to data analysts by providing work direction. Provide feedback on performance and assists employees with career growth. Provides recognition, coaching and employee counseling.

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Accounting or Finance major - Strongly Preferred

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of employees
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with individuals that work in other functional areas
  • Strong knowledge of financial concepts, including P&L and balance Sheet
  • Ability to work in a large, complex, dynamic organization where a high degree of change exists
  • Strong communication, prioritization and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Compensation Range: $100,000 - $171,100
