Why do we need you ?

As the Manager of P2P Process Excellence, you will have the opportunity to develop strategies and influence change across the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) value stream. As an inclusive leader on the Finance Shared Services Center (SSC) team, you will facilitate P2P process excellence by leveraging key data and insights to drive actions and support desired outcomes for all Saint-Gobain businesses operating in North America. In this role, you will develop and apply a data-driven approach to process management and improvement. You will collaborate with others to develop and execute programs to drive P2P process improvements. This role provides the leadership and technical abilities to develop, manage and deploy a team of P2P Specialists that effectively support P2P process excellence for all SSC customers at world class service levels.

This position requires a strong focus on process improvements including identifying, planning and implementing key projects to improve quality, reduce costs, increase productivity and improve P2P cycle times. As a result, the incumbent is expected to harmonize, automate and streamline procedures while effectively training and deploying a team of Specialists to deliver accurate and timely service, improving the overall customer satisfaction. In this role, you must be a dynamic team leader who is able to effectively develop and manage a team operating in a fast pace environment and be flexible enough to reprioritize tasks with exceptional communication to meet frequently evolving requirements.

DATA STRATEGY & INSIGHTS

  • Determines and monitors key performance indicators through collaboration and communication with customers; conducting surveys; benchmarking best practices; and analyzing information and applications
  • The position will provide operating and management level reporting and metric information necessary for effective operations, leadership decision analysis, and continuous improvement across P2P value chain
  • Craft polished communication plans and presentation decks for sharing insights based on data analysis, employee feedback, and program optimization plans

PROCESS EXCELLENCE

  • Evaluate process improvement information, including policy and procedures to identify inefficiencies and coordinate to determine a future state that satisfies the business requirements.
  • Cultivate and implement transformative ideas to address P2P pain points. Monitor progress and benefits of innovation through process metrics and BI dashboards
  • Bring forward innovative opportunities to leverage digital tools to improve quality of services delivered and equip the SGNA businesses with valuable insights to achieve their desired business outcomes
  • Ensures all services performed are compliant with the relevant accounting standards and the Company's internal control requirements

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT & COMMUNICATIONS

  • This individual has to effectively manage multiple stakeholders and their needs across many business areas, across SGNA Region and beyond. Ability to relate and have a meaningful conversations leading to consensus is key
  • Develop positive working relationships with internal and external customers, using a collaborative approach to ensure the best possible outcome
Is this job for you ?
  • 7-10 years of experience working in a professional setting focused on process improvement programs, with demonstrated progressive leadership experience. 5+ years of this experience in process improvement role
  • Bachelor's Degree (Finance, Purchasing, STEM) or equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical skills, with a systematic approach to problem definition and problem solving; ability to transfer long term strategies and plans into mid/short term actions. Proven track record of delivering large complex analyses
  • Demonstrated process improvement expertise with Six Sigma, Lean or similar programs. Formal certification preferred
  • Experience with ERP platforms (preferably SAP and/or QAD) and Microsoft Office tools
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Dynamic individual with the ability to motivate and lead others
  • Proven track record of developing high performing teams and managing employee growth
  • Self-starter, lead initiatives and drive activities independently
  • Ability to solve complex problems that involve competing priorities; make data-driven decisions or recommendations and align decisions with strategies. Considers the impacts of decisions on other parts of the organization
  • Driven and solid team player; openly share knowledge with colleagues. Customer-centric attitude
  • Action-oriented with a decisive style
  • Demonstrates complex problem resolution proficiency and the ability to identify/implement process improvements and deploy organizational resources effectively
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills among all levels of the organization
  • Strong knowledge of and practical experience with internal controls
