Overview

The Admissions Associate II is a subject matter expert (SME) on the company's Admissions practices, internal databases, reporting tools, and policies and procedures. The Team Lead is a SME on all functions performed by Admissions Associates and acts as a trainer and mentor to the Team. Responsible for ensuring census updates reported are processed timely and accurately, charges are entered timely and accurately, and that all necessary procedures are completed prior to invoicing, and statements are finalized, in accordance with contract and PharMerica's Policies and Procedures.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to move from a retail to office environment for those who are willing to learn claims, billing and insurance processing.

Pharmacy Technician experience and/or knowledge of pharmaceuticals is a strong preference.

This is a remote position. Applicants can live anywhere within the continental USA.

Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm MTN

Must be able to effectively support the Mountain Time Zone

Responsibilities

* Ensures completion of necessary information from entry sheet and medication orders for data entry and account setup in AS400 system. Review and route documents through Docutrak system to appropriate department.
* Verify payers and demographic information. Where applicable, fill in gaps in demographic information.
* Works with internal and external customers to resolve assigned accounts. Productivity records will be maintained.
* Participates in training of Admissions staff, by sharing content knowledge and job shadowing.
* Ensures that all department metrics are run daily
* Works with Admissions Director/Supervisor in researching pharmacy accounts requiring special attention and taking all necessary action to ensure accuracy of data being entered.
* Works with Admissions Director/Supervisor and other members of the management team on special projects as needed.
* Performs other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

* Education/Learning Experience
* Required: High School graduate, GED or equivalent experience

* Work Experience
* Required: 3 year billing and/or collections experience; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Team leadership skills; must be capable and willing to train and/or mentor others
* Desired: Third Party Billing or collections/billing experience in the healthcare industry; AS400 computer experience

* Skills/Knowledge
* Required: 10-Key by touch, data entry, MS Excel and Word and basic computer knowledge
* Desired: Medical billing and coding

USD $21.50 - $22.30 / Hour
