WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Knowledge Analyst (KA) within BCG's Social Impact Practice Area, you will work in a fast growing and entrepreneurial global team, providing expertise and insights for the Sustainable Finance & Investing (SFI)/Sustainability topic, supporting financial institutions (FIs) globally to accelerate their sustainable finance & investing agenda. Clients covered by the Sustainable Finance & Investing knowledge team include a wide range of actors in financial services including banks, asset managers, private equity firms, pension funds, insurers, and development finance institutions (DFIs). You will collaborate with BCG case and proposal teams to deliver customized knowledge assets and expert advisory to our clients, in areas including but not limited to: trends in sustainability driven investing and financing, ESG integration in FIs' operations, research and benchmarking of ESG banking and investment products, research on upcoming ESG regulations worldwide for FIs, ESG data & analytics, sustainable finance commitments and target setting for financial institutions.In addition, you will support your SFI/Sustainability topic team in developing intellectual property and managing content on internal BCG websites, ensuring availability of latest, high-quality materials. You will also support business development and go-to-market efforts of the SFI/Sustainability topic, as opportunities arise, with research and analysis.BCG has a heritage and a commitment to Social Impact working at the intersection of private, public and social sectors. Sustainable Finance & Investing is one of BCG's newest topic within BCG's Social Impact Practice Area. YOU'RE GOOD AT

  • Applying sustainability strategies and/or ESG data & analytics expertise in the context of the financial sector
  • Working collaboratively and effectively in a very dynamic often virtual environment, proficient in agile ways of working
  • Communicating with senior stakeholders, being credible and proactive
  • Framing, structuring, and sharing intellectual property, with the ability to write clearly and concisely
  • Working creatively and analytically in a time-limited, problem-solving environment
  • Flexibility and bring a curious, entrepreneurial and creative mindset, open for new things and able to propose innovative ideas that help our clients
  • Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Interacting with internal and external stakeholders while working in a global collaborative team environment

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience required in the field of sustainable finance, sustainable investing and/or ESG research, ESG data & analytics provider platforms; candidates with consulting, banking or investor experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required in relevant fields; advanced degree preferred
  • Strong analytical capabilities, proficiency on Microsoft tools e.g. Powerpoint and Excel
  • Knowledge and familiarity with broader sustainability domain e.g., Climate & Environment, Sustainable Finance, Diversity & Inclusion, Circular Economy/waste management, biodiversity, water, CSR/citizenship, ESG, materiality, SDGs, SASB, stakeholder engagement, TCFD
Fluency in English

The Knowledge Team (KT) is a group of functional and/or industry experts leveraging deep domain knowledge to enable insight for case teams and clients. KT members are affiliated to BCG Practice Areas, plugged into the strategic agenda and building and deploying leading edge IP data tools/assets to deliver insight.

BCG's Knowledge Team members are staffed on cases and help co-create insights with case teams and clients through expert perspectives on industry trends, delivery of proprietary data or tools in a particular function and complex research and analysis of market information. KT members also support the PA's business development and proposals and help to organize and codify the knowledge that enables BCG to deliver superior business value for its clients
